Born and raised in Toronto, Ian recently returned from Italy where he was busy directing commercials for youth oriented clients such as MTV. Before heading to Italy, Ian worked as a photographer for record companies and magazines. He shot a wide variety of subjects; from Cypress Hill and The Pharcyde, to cultural icons such as Norman Mailer and Leonard Cohen. Using his unique sense of humour, Ian adds unexpected interpretations to his work. His photographic eye and comedic timing blend seamlessly to produce commercials such as his window smashing spot for Converse, which was ultimately profiled in Shots' "Best of Fashion" issue.
